Night Visions – Oct 28-Nov 2, 2014 – Helsinki, Finland

Night Visions is the biggest and the oldest festival in Finland to focus on , fantasy, science fiction and action cinema.   The festival is arranged twice a year in the heart of the city of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The Spring edition takes place in April and the Fall edition around the Halloween celebrations in October/November.   The annual lineup of the festival consists of a total of roughly 60-65 feature films.

Ithaca International Fantastic Film Festival – November 12-16, 2014

The Ithaca International Fantastic (IIFFF) will present its 3rd edition from November 12 to November 16. This year’s retrospective will focus on Witchcraft in Popular Imagination, in collaboration with the Johnson Museum of Art’s exhibition: Surrealism & Magic. As part of this retrospective, a cinema concert of Christensen’s Haxan: Witchcraft through the ages (1922) with an original score by the New York based band Transit, will be held in Cornell University’s Sage Chapel. In parallel of the festival, three days of concerts will be held every night as well as a Fantastic Art Show organized by comic book artist Steve Ellis. With a selection of 30 feature films and documentaries, from all over the world, concerts and an art show, the IIFFF’s fans will get a privileged, and comprehensive view of the best of 2014 in Fantastic culture!
