Leeds International Film Festival Presents the Fanomenon Horror Weekend, Friday 3rd – Sun 5th November 2006
A full three days of the bloodiest, weirdest and scariest horror features and shorts available, taking place at The Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds.
Highlights include:
The UK Premiere of DARK REMAINS!
The UK Premiere of THE WOODS starring EVIL DEAD legend Bruce Campbell!!
The first chance to see the insane Japanese movie MEATBALL MACHINE!!!
Also on hand will be British film director Christopher Smith who will provide a unique ‘live DVD commentary’ for his hit horror comedy SEVERANCE and there’ll also be live performances and many other extra special events throughout the weekend. You can only attend by buying the Fanomenon Pass at £40 which will give you access to all the films throughout the weekend. Fanomenon will also host the European Silver Méliès Award. Named after the pioneer of fantastic cinema, the award will go to the best European Fantasy Feature and Short . This year’s contenders are led by two UK features BROKEN and ISOLATION (which you may have heard of from DEAD BY DAWN) supported by the UK Premiere of GAMERZ, LUNACY the latest film from the Czech animator Jan Svankmajer and the UK Premiere of the Belgian film RESONNANCES.
