Duistere Openbaringen - which translates to 'Dark Revelations' in English - is a small festival dedicated to Dutch genre productions (horror, thriller, suspense, crime, mystery and dark drama). There's a competition for short productions with a professional jury. There are three categories: amateur, student and professional.

We have a short history of horror-related films and through my other website (www.nederhorror.nl) I try to keep people up to date as to new plans, films that are in production and a database with all the productions made (amateur, student and professional) in our country.

The goal is to get more Dutch genre productions made and seen in my country, the Netherlands. The film industry is more interested in filming children's books and successful theatre plays.
