FILM SCREENINGS / SPECIAL EVENTS:
The Akron Civic Theatre presents AKRON SCREAMS, a horror film and music festival, on Halloween weekend, October 31 and November 1st. 
 
This hair-raising, two-day horror-fest takes place in the majestic theatre built in 1929 and recently resorted to its original grandeur. The event features outrageous films, ghoulish guest appearances, scary vendors and live music groups – including Among Ruin (10/31) and Nightmare: A tribute to Alice Cooper (11/1).  
 
Halloween's night films include “The Rage”, filmed in northeast Ohio, and “Halloween – Directed by Rob Zombie”.  
 
Saturday's matinee, hosted by Son of the Ghoul, will consist of “Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah” and “Bride of Frankenstein”.  
 
Saturday evening's movies are “Army of Darkness” and “Dead Next Door”, filmed in Akron, OH.
